During the 25th Cairo ICT 2021, held under the slogan "The Digital Challenge" at Egypt International Exhibition Center, Orange’s participation has been felt thanks to its wide presentation of its latest advanced technologies and smart and digital solutions to meet service providers’ various needs across different sectors while supporting the state’s digital transformation strategy towards Egypt’s Vision for 2030.

For the second year in a row, MTN Group has been named the most valuable African brand in the Brand Finance Africa 150 rankings, which assigned the group a brand value of US$2.7 billion – US$1.0 billion above the next most valuable brand.

Egyptian Minister of communications and information technology, Amr Talaat, oversaw the renewal of the IoT partnership between Telecom Egypt and Nokia, to deploy the country’s first IoT infrastructure through Nokia’s global network WING (Worldwide IoT Network Grid).

Virgin Mobile Middle East and Africa (VMMEA) announced that it has achieved net zero carbon emissions across all of its own operations. Through its partnership with Dubai Carbon Centre of Excellence, VMMEA gathered and assessed available data under Scope 1 (direct), Scope 2 (indirect energy), and Scope 3 (indirect value chain) to calculate its group-wide total emissions. The emissions calculations were used to create and implement sustainable processes for the year-on-year reduction of VMMEA's overall emissions.
