Telkom Kenya is currently preparing its connection to the Pakistan & East Africa Connecting Europe (PEACE) submarine fiber optic cable to further strengthen its capabilities in this area, noting that the company is planning to have the whole operation completed by the end of 2021.

Simon O'Hara, a senior executive at Airtel Africa, has issued a notice to the Nigerian Exchange Limited stating that the telecom company has received a total of $375 million from three investors: Qatar Investment Authority (QIA), Mastercard and The Rise Fund.

Telecom Egypt posted net profit of 3.9 billion Egyptian pounds ($249.20 million) for the first half of 2021, up 88% from the same period last year, as a result of a strong operational performance, growth in investment income from Vodafone, and FX gains, according to a company statement.
