MTN GlobalConnect has significantly advanced its position as a leader in Pan-African fibre networks and platforms with strong 2021 results. In Western Cape, Vodacom invested more than R1 billion in connectivity in the last financial year as the group upgraded its existing base station sites with 3G and 4G across the province to improve coverage and capacity, reaching 99.5% for 3G and 97.6% for 4G.

MTN Group has announced senior leadership appointments to operating companies in Nigeria, Iran and Sudan, all of them internal candidates, as the Group focuses on executing their strategy to drive growth, de-leverage faster and reveal value in fintech and fiber businesses. The appointments are effective 1 April 2022.
