This distinguished Ookla Award is specifically granted to both fixed and mobile service providers within a market. It is determined through consumer-initiated tests and background scans conducted by speed test applications.
Tigo's attainment of this esteemed award is a testament to the company's significant investment in the modernization and enhancement of its network infrastructure throughout the entire country.
Since 2022, Tigo committed to invest over TZS 1 trillion within 5 years to improve and modernize its network infrastructure. This investment has significantly enhanced the telecoms company customer’s digital experience, which led to Tigo earning local and international accolades, including the latest Ookla Speedtest award.
