A report commissioned by Kenya's blockchain and Artificial Intelligence (AI) taskforce has called upon the government to apply these technologies in the fight against corruption and ensure transparent transactions within governmental institutions.
“Corruption is perhaps the biggest obstacle to our nation building endeavors, and technologies such as blockchain and AI are emerging as effective tools to deal with the scourge,” said Joe Mucheru, Cabinet Secretary for Information Communication and Technology.
Blockchain and Artificial Intelligence can be used in Kenya, not only to counter corruption, but also to facilitate financial inclusion, improve the quality of education and manage the country’s digital assets.
“In the education sector, AI exhibits the potential to improve learning outcomes by supporting the delivery of personalized virtual lessons,” Mucheru added.
